I have never enjoyed getting headshots or been particularly thrilled with the results before, but I was so happy with both the session and the resulting shots this time. Carl is great. Rather than just trying to get you to relax by chatting to you and taking lots of shots, he is quite technical about the whole thing (chin down, more sparkle in the eyes, etc etc) which was much more useful. Also, we looked at the photos on a big screen regularly and discussed what worked and what didn't, so I left the session already knowing that it had been pretty successful. He uses natural light and doesn't fuss about with different backgrounds.. oh, and you don't have to hold one of those silly reflector thingies! I would *definitely* go to him for my next lot of headshots. Simple, professional, not too pricey (plus he's a very nice guy).

Carl was great, very professional, really knows what works and what doesn't and was easy to chat to. He says the shoot will take as long as it takes and he means just that. I was there for nearly 4 hours! You watch the shots back on a TV screen as you go, which really helps and he provides you will everything that was shot on a CD afterwards. He holds nothing back and doesn't charge extra for anything. His indoor shots are the best I've seen because they don't have a horrible 'studio' background.

I'd never had head shots taken before, but as there was no time limit on the session I didn't feel under any pressure, helping me to relax. He was also really good at directing me to try subtle differences in pose and attitude. Being able to review all the shots on a TV screen as we went along meant we quickly found what worked well for me and could discard anything that didn't straight away. Carl delivered the contact sheets, my chosen five touched-up images, and the CD containing all of the images really promptly. He has also since been quick to respond to my requests for further images - even over a year after the shoot. I can't think of anything he could have done better! A top quality, friendly, and reliable service. Thank you Carl!
